A big thanks to Book Reviews With Roshandra for featuring me on their blog this week!
Happy Wine Wednesday everyone! I told you I was trying to find great Halloween reads and bottles this month. This week's pairing is brought to you by New York Times Bestselling Author Alyssa Day's Alejandro's Sorceress and Bogle Vineyards Savingnon Blanc. Alejandro's Sorceress is a really cute, magical romance with all sorts of mythical type creature's running around. It's a short book, I'd venture to call it a novella so you'll definitely have time to fit it into your TBR before Halloween. Top it off with a glass of Bogle Savingnon Blanc for the perfect reading experience. I picked Bogle for the heck of it because the bottle and the name were fun, just like the book. (Bogle makes me think of goblins and gnomes and whatnot :). A light read and a light wine - perfect pair! Have a terrific Wine Wednesday before Halloween and, as always, happy reading!
First in a funny, sexy new paranormal romance series from New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Alyssa Day.
He's a warrior, hardened by years of protecting his town from vampire attack.
She's a garden witch who sees the world in shades of sunshine and delight.
Opposites don't only attract, they go supernova in this sizzling tale of magic and mayhem.
“Alejandro, meet Bob,” Rose said, and he quickly looked around the room, only to confirm that nobody was there.
“Bob? Who is Bob?”
“Bob is my cat,” she said, that quicksilver grin again crossing her face and then vanishing. “The basilisks got him just after I rescued Ninja.”
“The basilisk attacked your cat after you rescued a ninja?” he repeated slowly, realizing he’d been right. There was no way a woman this beautiful could have a personality to match her looks.
She was nuts.
Warning: This book contains magic, basilisks, warriors, a crazy family, Granny, sibling rivalry, trolls, carnivorous leprechauns, bad boys, paranormal romance, humor, laughter, fantasy, potions, romance, kisses, and a happily ever after. Read at your own risk!
Believe in magic . . . discover Alejandro’s Sorceress!

This week's wine / book pairing is a ghostly duo. Ghost Pine's Chardonnay provides the hauntingly delightful companion for Author Darcy Coate's House of Shadows. With October well under way I'm trying to search out some spooky bottles and books to share on the blog. This week's pairing fits the bill. House of Shadows is a ghostly tale that takes place in a haunted mansion and centers around the story's two main characters, the down on her luck Sophie and the mysterious, dark eyed Mr. Argenton. Enjoy this romantic suspense with a glass of Ghost Pines Chardonnay to set the mood for an eerie, dark reading experience. Happy Wine Wednesday everyone and happy reading!
Sophie’s world is shattered when disaster bankrupts her family. She’s still reeling from the news when she’s offered an unexpected solution: Mr Argenton, a wealthy stranger, asks for her hand in marriage.
Marrying Mr Argenton will restore her family’s fortunes and save them from scandal, but condemns Sophie to a life in Northwood, a vast and unnaturally dark mansion situated hours from civilisation.
Sophie struggles to adjust to her new position as mistress over the desolate house. Mr Argenton’s relatives are cold, and Mr Argenton himself is keeping secrets. Even worse, the house is more than it seems.
The piano plays in the middle of the night. Blood drips from the ceiling. Sophie is pulled towards the terrifying truth: Northwood’s ancient halls are haunted. The malevolent spirits—produced by grisly deaths—resent her intrusion into their home.
Trapped in Northwood and desperate for an escape, Sophie’s fate is further complicated as she finds herself drawn to the tall, dark-eyed man she married. She suspects her feelings are returned, but Mr Argenton is hiding something... and his secrets are so dangerous that they might just be unforgivable.
Happy Wine Wednesday! I hope the change of season is treating you well. This week's wine / book pairing is brought to you by Author Shana Abe's The Last Mermaid and Sea Glass Savignon Blanc. This book was on my summer TBR. I didn't get a chance to put it up on the blog until now but I didn't want to let it go any longer. Author Shana Abe's The Last Mermaid is actually three stories beautifully intertwined with a legend tying them all together. Fantasy romance steeped in myth is one of my favorite genres, as you well know, and who doesn't love mermaids? Pick up your copy of The Last Mermaid on Amazon (link below) and enjoy a romantic reading adventure with a glass of Sea Glass Savignon Blanc in hand! As always, have a terrific Wine Wednesday and happy reading!
Shana Abé has entranced countless readers with her passion-filled novels of adventure, intrigue, and romance. Now the author of The Secret Swan delivers a gift from the sea: three hauntingly beautiful tales connected by a legend, a locket, and a love beyond time.
531 a.d.: The tiny island of Kell is said to be enchanted, inhabited by an extraordinary creature who comforts shipwrecked sailors passing into the next world. Prince Aedan of the Isles believes in no such nonsense—until he awakens on Kell itself and meets the sensuous siren who rescued him from the sea.
1721: Ronan MacMhuirich, Earl of Kell, is the target of an unlikely assassin: Leila, a mysterious woman from an exotic land. But his irresistibly beautiful would-be slayer is in just as much danger as Ronan when she falls for this man with a magic of his own.
2004: What do you do when you inherit a Scottish island you never knew existed—and find yourself pursued by a handsome stranger who wants to buy it from you? That’s what happens to Ruri Kell when she accepts Iain MacInnes’s invitation to visit her birthright, and listens to a proposition as sinfully tempting as everything else about him.
Three seductive love stories, three passionate couples, all linked by one of the most romantic myths of all.
